The Bulimia Girls Treatment Training Course:

I've been working with bulimic clients for about five years now. As a hypnotherapist I found that the training regarding the complex world of eating disorders was sadly lacking. As a result I came up with the idea that a specialist system, including a course that therapists could download would serve both clients and therapists well. This course is based on the theories of Technical Hypnotherapy (www.TechnicalHypnotherapy.com) - which is used in the treatment of addicitions, anxiety disorders and eating disorders. This training system is now adopted in the Technical Hypnotherapy Associations system as their Bulimia Module.

The downloadable course is all web based. After payment you are directed to a page with downloadable files, in an easily handled format (rtf documents and Mpeg video files) which virtually all computers can read. Additionally, if you are not entirely confident in your own hypnosis technique, you can choose the option to download a 'Multiple Licence' version of the MP3 Bulimia Therapies, that have proved so succesful for many clients.

The course includes a video, an ebook on the treatment system and a workbook, which becomes a treatment plan for each client, in which you track progress and record the details of each client.
This downloadable system cosst $125, and I encourage all who use it to have their clients post their stories on www.BulimiaGirls.com  The ability to speak their truth is definitely part of the healing process. Additionally, the fact is that some bulimics are quite literally unable to say the word, it is loaded with such shame. Getting past this, and past it thoroughly, is a weigh point on the road to success.

For some therapists, I understand that doing a hypnosis session is something they are not confident with. For these clients I am happy to provide my MP3 based system for you to use with clients. These recordings have worked well for many clients. Because you will use them with multiple clients, I do ask you to download them with the ‘mulitiple license’. This is slightly more expensive, but does compensate me for my hard work!

The typical bulimic client requires at least 5 sessions and often more. From a strictly commercial point of view, this means that you can expect revenue of around $750 - $1000 minimum at most therapists rates. If you are using the Multiple License MP3’s, feel free to intersperse your own hypnosis sessions with these. It’s good practice.

My advice is that you practice the techniques thoroughly, and only start charging full price when you are confident your technique is well developed. Until that point charge but choose a suitable discount from these levels – 60% when you start and then reduce the discount as new clients come in and your confidence grows, then offer a 40% discount, then a 20% discount. When you are absolutely confident in your process, and only then, charge the full price. This is a system that changes the clients life. It’s well worth their costs.
